Photonics

A common characteristic of photonic devices is the presence of critical components that emit, transmit, modulate, amplify and process light over the whole spectrum of light. Unwanted contaminant such as organics detrimentally impact the performance and decrease of Laser Induced Damage Threshold-LIDT

Organic contaminants are found on machined optical components, wires/cables, adhesives, coatings, O-rings, even gloves, wipes, bags used in handling and packaging of cleaned parts. These contaminants are also found in cleanroom environments in which assembly activities might be taking place and CDA or Compressed Nitrogen may be in use to purge laser cavities.

ChemTrace offers a total solution for detection of Organic contamination on critical materials and processes used in Photonics Manufacturing. We can help you identify, analyze, improve and baseline various sources of volatile organics.
